Histroy of Our College
The vision of the K.N.KUPPUSAMY EDUCATIONAL TRUST, Jayankondam, blossomed in the name style of SRI LAKSHMI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION at Jayankondam "KKC Kalvi Valagam" towards T.Palur to Kumbakonam Highways ,Ariyalur District, Tamil Nadu. The Institute was launched in the Academic year 2006 - 2007 offering the valuable Teacher Education Programme (B.Ed) and later in the Academic year 2008 - 2009 ofered M.Ed Programme with minimum fees structure without getting donations with the sole aim to service to the rural people living at Jayankondam, Ariyalur District in Tamilnadu.
Kalvi Thanthai Thiru.K.K.CHINNAPPAN Ex.M.L.A was the Founder of KKC EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS and he layed the foundation for SRI LAKSHMI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION. Our Founder extends a helping hand to the economically backward students by giving concessions in tuitions fees. For the talented students the trust awards scholarships and for the toppers gives cash awards which will be helpful for the higher studies. On the whole the trust has committed to serve the rural people in the field of education. The people in villages in and around the college are pleased to admit their wards and get benefited.
About Our Campus
It is housed in an imposing building pleasantly standing against a green backdrop extending over 25 acres of land. It is heartening to note that our institution has an intake of 200 student for B.Ed Course and 50 students for M.Ed Course to the rural population monitored effectively by a strong team of committed Chairman Competent Director, efficient Principal and dedicated Teacher Educators assisted by an ever available and sincere administrative staff and academically technically supported by qualified Librarian, Physical Director, Yoga Master, Arts & Craft Teacher and Music Teacher. As experts in their own field, they are offering free consultancy to children and individuals in need of psychological, personal and career counseling. The nearby schools avail the expertise of our teacher educators. In short the material and human resources are fully utilized for the development of all stake holders.
The College also takes interest in developing the students to get placement opportunities by conducting special coaching classes for TRB, TNPSC and TNTET. These coaching classes started for every Academic Year. Not only the present students but also the Alumni benefitted from these classes.
